Foreign Investment in property in Spain for the year to September has fallen by 14.3% this year, according to figures just released by the Bank of Spain.  The spending was 3.55 billion € for the first nine months of this year, down from 4.15 billion € last year.

The number is a further indication of the slow down in the foreigners’ real estate market, principally in coastal areas, where prices this year have risen by less than 10% for the first time in five years.

The latest numbers from the Bank also show that the amount of money spent by Spaniards on buying purchase outside of Spain doubled over the same period to reach 1.56 billion €.
