The Association of
International Property
Professionals (AIPP) has
produced a 64-page Consumer
Handbook and Members
Directory to guide overseas
property buyers through the
purchasing process and to
introduce them to the
Association's Members. The
publication is available as
a bagged supplement with the
November issue of A Place in
the Sun magazine, on sale
from 27th September. It was
officially launched at the
'Place in the Sun Live'
exhibition at Birmingham's
NEC on 29th September.
As well as introducing a
full list of the AIPP's
Members and the Code of
Conduct to which all Members
must adhere, the guide
includes informative
articles on important issues
when buying overseas, and
country guides to 32 of the
most popular overseas
property destinations.
'I believe it is high
time the consumer had some
clear guidance about who to
deal with in the overseas
property market,' said
Paul Owen, Chief Executive
of the AIPP. 'This
publication explains what
the AIPP does and how our
work will help make this a
better and a safer market
for everyone.'
Sue Ash, Chair of AIPP's
Board, added, 'The AIPP's
main aim is to improve
consumer confidence in the
concept of buying abroad and
their experiences of the
buying process. At the same
time, it will deliver a
tangible, postive difference
in the professional
standards of the industry".
