Phase 2 of the five-star
Amendoeira Golf Resort, which
features courses designed by
Nick Faldo and Christy
O’Connor Jnr, will be released
on 15 May by the Oceânico
Group, with an exclusive offer
for investors to gain
membership of seven
world-class Algarve golf
courses. The second phase of
the €500million development
sees purchasers receiving
membership of the two golf
courses at Amendoeira,
together with the Vilamoura
courses of Victoria, where the
Portugal Masters will be held
from 2007 to 2009; Laguna;
Millennium; Old Course and
Pinhal.The exclusive offer
comes following the Oceânico
Group’s acquisition of the
five Vilamoura courses in
March this year, and makes
Oceânico the only company in
Europe to offer membership of
so many leading golf courses
as part of a property purchase
.

Phase 2 of the Amendoeira Golf
Resort will continue the
development of the 640-acre
Amendoeira site near Silves,
four miles inland from the
Algarve coastline. The Phase 1
launch saw 60% of the
properties sold on the first
day, with completion of the
first properties and two golf
courses scheduled for spring
2008. The newly released
properties offer a mix of 92
two & three bedroom
apartments, 12 three-bedroom
villas, and 12 of Oceânico’s
new Prestige properties.
Prices for the apartments
start from €495,000, with a
choice of two-bedroom
apartments, some with
mezzanine floors, in the
resort’s Oliveira village. The
three-bedroom villas in Monte
Mimosa start from €950,000,
while the exclusive Prestige
properties on the Rua do Ouro,
are priced at around
€2million.
Commenting on the launch,
Simon Burgess, director of the
Oceânico Group, said: “With
Oceânico’s purchase of the
five courses at Vilamoura
earlier this year we have
created the best golf and
property investment
opportunity in Europe. No
other company can offer
membership of seven golf
courses, each designed by a
top golfer or golf course
designer. “With the launch of
Phase 2 of Amendoeira we are
offering investors an
opportunity to own a property
in Portugal that combines the
finest design and build
quality with unsurpassed golf
and leisure facilities. The
location is stunning, with the
whole development created to
complement the local
environment, while Faro
airport is just 35 minutes
away. Phase 1 of the
development has proved
extremely popular with
investors, and Phase 2 will
build on this.”
The Portuguese Investment
Agency, appointed by the
Government, recently
recognised the Amendoeira Golf
Resort as a ‘project of
national interest’ for its
excellent environmental
standards and impact on the
local economy. In addition to
the golf courses, the
Amendoeira Golf Resort will
also feature a golf academy
and driving range, an
international standard tennis
club, bowling greens, football
and multi-sport facilities, a
clubhouse, and Vila Amendoeira,
which includes a wide range of
children’s facilities.
