Apart-hotel at an award-winning Canadian golf course

Atlantic Canada’s award-winning, golf community, Royal Oaks Estates & Golf Club, offers Irish property buyers the chance to own living accommodation at an apart-hotel situated next to a championship golf course in New Brunswick.

Buying at an apart-hotel means you purchase a property freehold with a certain amount of access each year; at Royal Oaks this is four weeks use each year. The property is rented out as a hotel unit for the remaining time. This allows buyers the use of a holiday home as well as receiving an income from it. Royal Oaks guarantees a 7% net return for the first two years post completion.

In addition, Royal Oaks is a member of the IntraWest Resort to Resort programme giving owners the opportunity to access a growing collection of 150 properties at 30 resort destinations around the world.

Andy Hawkins, Senior International Property Consultant at Chesterton International, commented, “Royal Oaks is a fantastic development in a world-class location. Along with an 18-hole, Links-style golf course designed by Rees Jones the development offers fantastic year round activities, especially in the 2,000-acre Irishtown Nature Park that surrounds the development.

“The two-year guaranteed 7% net return that the apart-hotel scheme offers is pretty much unrivalled in the market place. And being part of the IntraWest scheme means buyers can take a summer holiday in Canada and a winter break in the French Alps, for example.”

In addition to the apart-hotel, Royal Oaks consists of apartments, townhouses and private plots alongside the golf course. With its award winning practice and teaching facility and a top of the range fitness centre, including a gym and swimming pool under development, Royal Oaks has much to offer. The onsite RJ’s Restaurant specialises in fine-quality food with a local flavour.

The Canadian property market is growing rapidly with a number of developments aimed at the Irish and British markets. Access to Canada from Europe is also becoming easier with low cost airlines moving into the transatlantic routes.

Andy Hawkins added, “We have had a lot of interest from people looking for an alternative to European developments. Canada is a solid option as it provides excellent quality with first-rate facilities and amenities. With the Euro relatively strong against the Canadian Dollar, Canadian property offers excellent value for money.”  Priced from CDN$214,200 (approx. €138,482) most of the 83 apart-hotel units come with clear fairway views.
