If your
dream is to have a place in
the sun but you're worried
that buying a holiday home
will not only be a heavy
financial anchor , it will
also leave you tied to the
same old destination year
after year, cast off these
worries with the new Club La
Costa Yacht Club.
Enter the
lifestyle of Roman Abramovich
and Richard Branson and get a
taste of the ultimate luxury
as you step on board your own
private €1 million yacht,
with the crew waiting to cater
for your every desire.
OK, with
prices starting from just
£8000, you don't actually own
the yacht outright- but you
do get all the perks of
ownerships without having to
worry about the expense of
keeping your floating holiday
home shipshape. And this small
investment does give you six
weeks exclusive use of a
double berth cabin , or if
you don't want to share your
millionaire lifestyle with
strangers, you can use four of
your weeks at once and charter
the whole yacht, with its four
luxurious cabins, for your own
exclusive use.
This
spring, the elite Club La
Costa Yacht Club takes to the
water in Palma, when the first
two 60 ft luxury €1 million
catamarans will sail around
the island of Mallorca for its
inaugural spring/summer season
(from March 17th to October
20th, 2007, inclusive.)
The Club intends to quickly
expand its fleet and
destinations in the future to
include Italy, Turkey and the
Aegean.
With the backing of parent
company Club La Costa Resorts
& Hotels- which this year will
celebrate 23 years in the
holiday industry - the Yacht
Club aims to bring the luxury
of sailing holidays within the
financial reach of everyone,
for considerably less than a
similar vacation available
from the usual charter
operators.
Set to cater for those wishing
to experience the ultimate
holiday lifestyle of the
yachting elite – minus the
expense and management that
comes with owning your own
yacht – this unique style of
holiday means guests can relax
onboard, soak up the sun and
enjoy the high life while the
crew takes care of everything
else, from serving breakfast
to mixing mojitos at sunset,
or from arranging excursions
to scuba diving lessons along
with a variety of other water
sports.
Roy Peires, Founder and
Chairman of Club La Costa
Resorts & Hotels says, “The
Club La Costa Yacht Club is
for those who want a luxurious
lifestyle holiday, from
company directors looking for
a novel way of rewarding staff
or impressing key clients and
customers, to all of us who
would love the luxury of a
private sailing holiday
without having to sink vast
sums of money into buying, and
maintaining, our own yacht.
Club La Costa Yacht Club
guests will experience five
star comfort aboard the
Eleuthera 60 catamarans, and
the yachts are custom-fitted
by top La Rochelle-based
French cruising catamaran
builders Fountaine-Pajot.
Designed by Berret Recoupeau,
the Eleuthera 60 is renowned
for its luxury and stability,
and is the perfect vessel for
seasoned sailors or
holidaymakers who may have
limited sailing experience but
who yearn for a unique
yachting holiday.

Roy Peires adds, “We are
confident that our fleet of
luxurious catamarans and our
sailing routes - which will
offer cruises around some of
the most beautiful yachting
destinations in Europe and
beyond - will appeal to those
looking for that wow factor
from their annual vacation.
Initial response from our
existing Club La Costa members
has been so enthusiastic that
our first season is already
almost fully-booked.
“The extensive range of
facilities and leisure
options, the Club La Costa
Yacht Club offers, both on and
off shore, have been designed
to make this a memorable
holiday. From a fully equipped
galley with well stocked bar,
members will have their
sailing holiday tailored to
suit their specific
requirements. We have
equipment on board for fishing
and scuba diving, snorkeling,
sea kayaking, dinghy sailing
and windsurfing and, of
course, island hopping and
shopping, wining and dining
onshore are included in the
itinerary.”
On board, saloons and cabins
are air-conditioned and
finished with wood panelled
walls and parquet-style
flooring and all four cabins
have en-suite facilities
including freshwater showers.
The interior has a 6ft 3in
headroom and more in some
areas, while the extended
coach roof which protects the
saloon from the heat and glare
of the sun allows an extremely
comfortable environment to
relax and share your
experiences of the day with
friends and family, from the
moment you wake up to the
smell of freshly brewed
coffee, to an after-dinner
nightcap under the stars
before bed. The custom-fitted
catamarans will sail around
Mallorca, dropping anchor in
secluded bays and picturesque
beaches for lunch along the
way and guests will even have
time for a bit of boutique
shopping and historic
sightseeing in Palma during
their holiday.
For those who want to sail off
into the sunset on a regular
basis, membership of the Club
La Costa Yacht Club is
available from £8,000 and is
extremely flexible - members
can have their own exclusive
chartered yacht and use four
of their weeks to reserve all
four guest cabins on board the
luxury catamaran, use eight
weeks and have a private two
yacht flotilla at their
command, or any other
permutation that suits.
